Meet Kalvin Tarasoff | Registered Massage Therapist | Serving Gibsons Since 1998
Kalvin graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT) in Vancouver in 1997 and has been treating within the Sunshine Coast community ever since. With over 25 years of hands-on experience, Kalvin has developed a well-rounded general practice in Gibsons, BC, where he integrates a variety of techniques, including Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, and instrument-assisted soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM).
Known for his down-to-earth approach and compassionate nature, Kalvin brings both strength and sensitivity to his treatments. He genuinely enjoys connecting with people and brings a deep level of care to each session. “I love what I do,” he says, “and I can’t wait to get to know you and help however I can.”
Kalvin grew up in Quesnel, a small, tough town in BC’s Cariboo region, where he learned to navigate life’s challenges early on, including growing up with a vision impairment and overcoming adversity in a complex home environment. These life experiences have shaped him into a strong, empathetic caregiver who shows up wholeheartedly for his patients.
Outside the clinic, Kalvin leads a full and vibrant life. He’s an avid cyclist, skier, swimmer, and weightlifter. He also plays with the local Gibson’s Pipe Band and has even won at the Provincial Legion Games. Since 2002, Kalvin has been an active member of Christ the King Community Church.
Kalvin is proud to be part of the local community and honoured to support others on their healing journey—no matter where they’re starting from.
