Vibrant Health Starts Here
Think of your nervous system like the electrical system in a car. For a vehicle to run properly, it needs a strong battery and solid wiring. In the same way, your body needs clear, uninterrupted nerve signals to function at its best. Over time, things like stress, injuries, or daily strain can cause misalignments in the spine—called subluxations—that block or weaken those nerve signals, similar to how corroded cables or faulty wiring can interfere with a car’s electrical flow.
This is where Torque Release Technique (TRT) comes in. With a precise instrument called the Integrator, chiropractors make specific adjustments to the spine. TRT is a low-force, nerve-focused technique that restores balance to your nervous system. In addition, we use hands-on manual techniques to support areas that need more mobility. It’s like giving your nervous system a well-placed jump-start, restoring the proper flow of communication between your brain and body. Just as jumper cables can bring a car back to life, TRT helps reactivate and support your body’s natural healing by reconnecting those vital neural pathways boosting overall function and resilience, including improved feelings of wellbeing.
Treatments We Offer

I am blessed to be married to the love of my life and fellow chiropractor, Dr. Ron Pashkewych. Together, we have two young adults, Clara and Ian, who are now on their adventures. When I’m not serving in either of the two clinics, you’ll find me skiing, golfing, having friends over for brunch, or relaxing on the beautiful beaches of the Sunshine Coast with our family dog, Ollie.
When you visit me in the clinic, you can trust that I’m fully committed to helping you and your loved ones live fully alive —one intentional adjustment, one aligned step, and one powerful decision at a time. The best is yet to come!
Dr. Jody Cox BSc. DC.
I became passionate about holistic health in my late teens when I discovered that my family history was marked by heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and diabetes. It was a wake-up call—one that made me realize that if I wanted a different outcome, I’d have to take a different path. Determined to live fully alive and free from the limitations of disease, I began diving into the world of natural healing.
Through that journey, I discovered the holistic principles of chiropractic care, and it resonated so deeply that I made it my life’s mission. I pursued chiropractic with a passion—not just to transform my own health but to help others do the same.
After serving thousands of patients in Malaysia, Toronto, and the Sunshine Coast, and having over two decades of clinical experience, I still absolutely love what I do and show up every day to empower my patients to address the root cause of dysfunction— not just manage symptoms —so they can reclaim their health, energy, and purpose.
During a sudden and unexpected family crisis, I began writing a book to connect with people who may have lost their way in their health. It became a bestselling book titled ‘A Better Way: Your Guide to Abundant Health,’ which will equip you with root-cause insights, proven lifestyle strategies, and nourishing recipes to help you take charge of your well-being and live with lasting vitality.
Dr. Jody is available at both clinics.
Dr. Ron Pashkewych BSc. DC.
I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. I chose to be a chiropractor because, since I can remember, I have wanted to serve and help people in some meaningful way. I was originally in pre-med classes at university, but felt that the focus on drugs, symptoms and essentially sick care and management was not my calling. I searched many other health professions, and one day ended up in the clinic at the chiropractic college in Toronto. At the time, I was experiencing recurring back pain, neck pain and headaches as a result of a previous car accident and old sports injuries. Once the chiropractic intern explained the connection between my symptoms and the misalignments in my spine, I was intrigued, as I had never heard of this connection. After a few adjustments, I felt immediate relief and a better sense of well-being. I was hooked.
Soon after I began my studies at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon, where I earned my degree and also met my wife, Dr. Jody Cox. After a brief adventure practising in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (too hot!), and Toronto (too cold!), we ended up on the Sunshine Coast (just right!) in 2006. We raised 2 wonderful children (one is studying in New Zealand to become a chiropractor) and now have a clinic in Sechelt and Gibsons to better serve our community.
Dr. Ron is available at both clinics.
One of my passions is playing guitar, harmonica and singing. You might see me playing at a coffee shop, brewery, outdoor concert or my church. I have also always enjoyed the great outdoors – skiing, windsurfing, hiking, cycling, and fishing are a few of the activities that I love. Living on the Sunshine Coast has been a blessing as it has been the most incredible community to raise a family as well as provide the lifestyle and pursuits that we all enjoy. We love serving this community and plan to be here for a long time!

What can I Expect from my First Appointment?
A chiropractic assessment and treatment typically involves the following steps:
1. Initial Consultation
- The chiropractor will ask about your medical history, lifestyle, and specific concerns (e.g., pain, mobility issues).
- They may ask about past injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions.
- You might discuss work habits, exercise routines, and stress levels, as these factors can impact your musculoskeletal health.
2. Physical Examination
- The chiropractor will assess your posture, range of motion, and spinal alignment.
- They may perform orthopedic and neurological tests to check for nerve function, muscle strength, and reflexes.
- Palpation (hands-on examination) is often used to detect tension, misalignment, or inflammation.
3. Diagnosis and Discussion
- Based on the assessment, the chiropractor will explain their findings.
- They will discuss a treatment plan, which may include spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and lifestyle recommendations.
- If necessary, they may refer you for X-rays or other imaging tests.
4. Chiropractic Treatment
- Spinal Adjustments – controlled force applied to specific joints to improve mobility and alignment.
- Soft Tissue Therapy – Techniques like massage, stretching, or trigger point therapy to relieve muscle tension.
- Joint Mobilization – Gentle movement of joints to restore function and reduce stiffness.
- Therapeutic Exercises – Customized stretches and strengthening exercises to support recovery.

Will I need X-rays?
Taking x-rays can provide a deeper, more detailed assessment of your spine, specifically showing clear alignment of your skeletal structure, any joint, disc or bone conditions and it can be used to help rule out anything more sinister that may need medical attention.
Your specific circumstances and the results from your consultation and assessment will determine whether x-rays will be necessary. If you have any concerns at all, feel free to raise these at your consultation.
Do you accept Health Insurance?

What is Torque Release Technique?
Think of your nervous system like the electrical system in a car. For a vehicle to run properly, it needs a strong battery and solid wiring. In the same way, your body needs clear, uninterrupted nerve signals to function at its best. Over time, things like stress, injuries, or daily strain can cause misalignments in the spine—called subluxations—that block or weaken those nerve signals, similar to how corroded cables or faulty wiring can interfere with a car’s electrical flow.
This is where Torque Release Technique (TRT) comes in. With a gentle, precise instrument called the Integrator, chiropractors make specific adjustments to the spine. It’s like giving your nervous system a well-placed jump-start—restoring the proper flow of communication between your brain and body. Just as jumper cables can bring a car back to life, TRT helps reactivate and support your body’s natural healing by reconnecting those vital neural pathways.
So, much like reviving a car’s electrical system, TRT helps your body’s internal wiring run smoothly—boosting overall function, clarity, and resilience.
TRT Uses 15 Diagnostic indicators at each visit
Even though your adjustment may feel relaxing and subtle, it’s incredibly thorough. We’re constantly observing and assessing:
•Leg balance
•Breathing patterns
•Muscle tone and tension
•Heel pressure
•Postural cues
…and more—before and after every adjustment.
What is the integrator and how does it work?
The Integrator is our specialized tool used to deliver precise TRT adjustments. Here’s what makes it so effective:
•It delivers a thrust in just 1/10,000th of a second—faster than your muscles can resist.
•It operates at 64Hz, the same frequency your nervous system uses to communicate.
•It adjusts in three dimensions—just like your spine moves in real life.
•It’s the first FDA-approved chiropractic adjusting instrument, designed for safe and effective subluxation correction.
•Its tip mimics the feel of a human thumb for a natural, comfortable experience.
Will I need multiple visits?
Each treatment plan is different so there will be an assessment and treatment plan provided at your follow up visit to better determine the best action plan for you to get you back on track. Consult the Doctor to learn more.
Our Happy & Healthy Clients
"After only 12 treatments I had more rotation in my neck, I could get in and out of the car easier and my back had less tension in it. They were very professional and friendly willing to answer any of my questions. I would highly recommend them for your Chiropractic needs."
David M.
"Dr. Pashkewych is very knowledgable and explains everything regarding one's health in accurate lay-person terms. His treatment methods are effective but gentle and his goal is to maximize your health, at whatever age and stage you are. I especially appreciate his understanding of older folks who work hard to maintain excellent fitness and dietary levels."
Chrisine G.
"Dr Cox listened and communicated very effectively. She was clear and concise in her explanations, and in preparing me for what would come next. She does not use any of the sudden jerks some chiropractors use to do adjustments. Instead she uses a chiropractic adjusting tool, which feels very comfortable and safe. This was my first treatment with her, so I cannot yet rate the effectiveness of the treatments, but my husband has been treated by Dr. Cox over the past two years and has found her to be very effective."
DLA
"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease."
